Bio
Mihailo Bjelic is a co-founder of Polygon, one of Ethereum's most widely used scaling ecosystems. He became a key voice for Polygon's strategic direction, particularly in zero-knowledge proof technology, during the network's rapid growth years.
Bjelic joined the Polygon co-founder group as the project evolved from its Matic Network origins into a broader multichain and ZK-focused platform. He served on the Polygon Foundation board and was an active public advocate for Polygon's technology bets, including the zkEVM, Polygon CDK and the Agglayer cross-chain aggregation layer.
In May 2025, Bjelic announced he was stepping down from the Polygon Foundation board and winding down his day-to-day involvement with Polygon Labs. He should not be presented as a current board member or executive. Polygon in 2026 is led by a distinct management team pursuing the Open Money Stack, payments infrastructure and Agglayer.
