George Danezis is a Co-Founder and Chief Scientist of Mysten Labs, and a Professor at University College London (UCL). He brings a research background spanning privacy, distributed systems, Byzantine fault tolerance and scalable blockchain design to the Sui ecosystem.

Danezis's academic career at UCL and earlier work at Microsoft Research and Facebook/Meta gave him deep expertise in secure and privacy-preserving distributed systems.
