Bio
Adeniyi Abiodun is the Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer of Mysten Labs, the technology company that built and maintains the Sui blockchain — a high-performance Layer-1 network designed around an object-centric data model and the Move programming language.
Before co-founding Mysten Labs in 2021, Abiodun held product leadership roles at Meta (Facebook) / Novi, the company's digital wallet and blockchain division, where the founding Mysten Labs team worked on the Diem (formerly Libra) blockchain project. Prior to Meta, he worked in blockchain product roles at VMware and in blockchain architecture at Oracle, giving him deep enterprise experience in distributed systems. He holds a BEng in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Queen Mary University of London — exact degree details should be confirmed from official sources.
Mysten Labs' founding team assembled key engineers and researchers from Meta/Novi's blockchain group. Abiodun's role as CPO has focused on translating Sui's technical architecture — including its object-centric state model, the Move smart contract language, and Narwhal/Bullshark consensus — into compelling consumer, gaming, DeFi and institutional products. It is important to note that the decentralized Sui network is governed by its validators and the Sui Foundation; Mysten Labs is its development company, not the owner of the network.
As of 2026, Mysten Labs continues to ship infrastructure under the Sui ecosystem including Walrus (decentralized storage), Seal (access control), zkLogin, and DeepBook (on-chain central limit order book).
