Bio
Adam Reeds is the Co-Founder and CEO of Ledn, a centralized crypto lending company focused on Bitcoin-backed financial products. Co-founded in 2018 alongside Mauricio Di Bartolomeo, Ledn was built to give Bitcoin holders access to liquidity without requiring them to sell their holdings. The platform allows users to use Bitcoin as collateral for cash loans, and has expanded to offer savings accounts and institutional lending products.
Before entering the crypto industry, Reeds built his career in renewable energy development and finance. He studied Engineering at Western University and completed an Honours Business Administration (HBA) degree from the Ivey Business School — exact degree names and graduation years should be verified from official sources. He also held roles related to renewable energy project finance, which informed his understanding of asset-backed financing structures that Ledn now applies to Bitcoin.
Under Reeds' leadership, Ledn has distinguished itself through a commitment to financial transparency: the company was among the first crypto lenders to publish regular Proof of Reserves and Open Book reports, disclosing loan books and collateral positions. Ledn received a strategic investment from Tether and has maintained operations while many centralized crypto lenders experienced distress during the 2022–2023 market downturn.
In 2025–2026, Ledn has continued to expand its institutional product suite and refine its collateral management approach. It is important to note that Ledn is a centralized lending company, not a DeFi protocol; its products involve custodial arrangements and carry platform risk distinct from non-custodial alternatives.
