The HBAR price rally put Hedera back in focus this week. HBAR rose from around $0.096 to a September 28 high near $0.131, then eased toward $0.118 on September 29. Traders have connected the move to Hedera’s enterprise and AI story, particularly an IBM Cloud listing and NVIDIA’s newly announced AI safety platform. Both developments deserve a closer look: the products and relationships are real, but some of the claims circulating around the rally go further than the official announcements.

HBAR Price Rally: What Changed in the Market?
September 28 was an unusually strong session for HBAR. Historical exchange data shows it closed at about $0.122 after opening near $0.096, a gain of roughly 27% for the day, and touched approximately $0.131 intraday. By the following day, CoinMarketCap showed HBAR near $0.118, with a market capitalization of about $5.18 billion and 24-hour trading volume around $1.33 billion. Those live figures can change quickly, but they show the scale of activity accompanying the move.
The pullback matters as much as the initial jump. A rapid rise on heavy volume shows strong interest; it does not, by itself, establish how much came from longer-term buyers rather than short-term positioning. Claims about a specific increase in derivatives open interest or an RSI reading above 80 also need a named exchange, chart interval and observation time before they can be treated as comparable facts.

What the IBM Cloud Listing Actually Confirms
IDTrust, a self-sovereign identity product from The Hashgraph Group, is listed in the IBM Cloud Catalog. IBM’s listing describes it as an identity platform for AI agents, smart devices and people, and identifies The Hashgraph Group as the third-party provider. The product uses Hedera, making the listing a concrete example of a Hedera-based application available through a major cloud marketplace.
There is an important date distinction. The IBM catalog displays July 21, 2026, as its last update for IDTrust. That does not rule out a September announcement or renewed attention, but the catalog alone does not support calling the listing a brand-new September deployment. It also does not disclose customer numbers, transaction volume or revenue attributable to the product.
For investors, the meaningful question is what happens after availability. If businesses begin using IDTrust at scale, that would provide stronger evidence of adoption than a catalog entry alone. Bitnxt could not establish such usage figures from the IBM listing.
Where Hedera Fits Into the NVIDIA Discussion
On September 28, NVIDIA announced its Open Agent Safety Platform, a collection of software and system designs intended to put security controls around AI agents. NVIDIA named Accenture among more than 100 organizations working with its platform technologies. The announcement did not name Hedera, HBAR or a new Hedera integration.
The market’s association is understandable, but it requires care. Hedera has separately documented work involving EQTY Lab, Accenture and NVIDIA infrastructure. Its case studies describe AI verification systems that use Hedera to anchor records of agent actions or governance controls. That existing work helps explain why AI safety news may attract attention to Hedera. It does not mean NVIDIA’s September 28 platform launch added Hedera as a component.
That difference can get lost during a fast rally. A company involved in one initiative may also work on a separate Hedera-based project; the two projects should not be merged into a single partnership announcement without evidence from the participants.
What Could Matter After the Spike?
HBAR’s immediate test is whether interest holds after the first burst of trading. The roughly $0.13 area marks the recent intraday high, while the region around $0.096 is where the September 28 move began. These are reference points from recent price action, not guaranteed support or price targets. A return below the starting area would change the short-term picture; holding above it while volume normalizes would suggest the move has retained some buying interest.
The longer-term test is easier to describe and harder to measure: will Hedera-based identity and AI verification products gain users? IDTrust’s availability on IBM Cloud gives potential customers a route to the product. Hedera’s documented work with EQTY Lab shows a distinct use case for verifiable AI records. Neither fact tells us yet how much demand these applications will create for HBAR.
Bitnxt’s take: HBAR’s rally has a substantive backdrop, but the strongest version of the story is also the most precise. IDTrust is listed on IBM Cloud; Hedera has documented AI verification work; and NVIDIA has launched a separate agent safety initiative that names Accenture. The next useful evidence will be product usage, disclosed deployments and sustained market activity. Until then, the price surge is a market response to a promising narrative, not proof that every connection being discussed has become a new commercial integration.
