Raj Gokal is a co-founder of Solana, the high-performance Layer-1 blockchain network known for its parallel transaction processing architecture. Before entering the blockchain space, Gokal worked across finance, product management and health-technology, developing experience in building and scaling consumer and enterprise software products.
Together with Anatoly Yakovenko and other early team members, Gokal helped transform a novel parallel-processing idea into a functioning network and a global developer ecosystem. While Yakovenko is credited with the core technical invention of Proof of History, Gokal focused on operational, product and ecosystem dimensions of growing Solana Labs and the broader Solana community.
In 2026 Solana continues to be a leading platform for decentralized applications, payments, tokenization and institutional infrastructure. Solana Labs and the Solana Foundation operate as distinct organizations, with the network itself governed by validators and the broader token-holder community.
