Bio
Carlos Domingo is the Co-Founder and CEO of Securitize, one of the leading platforms for the issuance and management of tokenized securities and real-world assets (RWA). He is also a co-founder and Managing Partner of SPiCE VC, a tokenized venture capital fund that was among the earliest institutional experiments in tokenized fund structures.
Domingo has a long career in technology and telecommunications leadership, including executive roles at Telefónica (specifically at Telefónica R&D and Telefónica Digital) before transitioning to crypto. He co-founded Securitize to build compliant infrastructure for issuing, managing, and trading digital securities on blockchain rails.
Securitize operates as an SEC-registered broker-dealer, transfer agent, and alternative trading system (ATS), providing regulated tokenization services to issuers of private funds, real estate, and other alternative assets. Its most high-profile relationship is serving as the transfer agent for BlackRock's BUIDL fund — a tokenized US Treasury fund. Securitize did not create or own BUIDL; it provides technology and transfer-agent services to BlackRock. As of August 2026, Securitize continues expanding its tokenized fund and asset infrastructure across multiple blockchain networks.
