Bio

Greg Solano (known online as Garga) is the Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of Yuga Labs, the company behind the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT collection. He co-founded Yuga Labs in 2021 alongside Wylie Aronow and the broader founding team. BAYC launched as a collection of 10,000 unique generative NFTs on Ethereum and became one of the defining NFT projects of the 2021–2022 cycle, spawning the Mutant Ape Yacht Club derivative collection, Otherside metaverse land, and Yuga's acquisition of the CryptoPunks and Meebits IP from Larva Labs.

Solano returned as Yuga Labs CEO in 2024 after a prior period away. In April 2026, he transitioned from CEO to Chairman of the Board, with Michael Figge appointed as incoming CEO. As Chairman, he maintains strategic oversight while Figge leads day-to-day operations. Yuga's current product focus includes the Bored Ape IP, ApeChain (an Ethereum Layer-2 blockchain), and the ApeCoin ecosystem — the last of which is governed independently by the ApeCoin DAO and Foundation, not by Yuga Labs directly.
