Bio
Wylie Aronow, known publicly under the pseudonym Gordon Goner, is a Co-Founder of Yuga Labs. He co-founded Yuga Labs in 2021 with Greg Solano (Garga), Kerem Atalay (Emperor Tomato Ketchup), and Zeshan Ali (Sass). Together they created Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), one of the most recognized NFT collection brands. In 2023, Aronow stepped back from day-to-day operations at Yuga Labs, citing health reasons; he publicly disclosed a heart condition at that time. Whether he holds a current formal operating title at Yuga Labs as of August 2026 should be verified directly from Yuga Labs' current team materials — he should not be described as CEO of Yuga Labs.
Yuga Labs also created Mutant Ape Yacht Club, Bored Ape Kennel Club, and CryptoPunks (acquired). ApeCoin (APE) is a separate DAO-governed token managed by the ApeCoin Foundation — it is not owned or controlled by Yuga Labs or by Aronow personally. Yuga's Otherside metaverse game project continues development under Yuga Labs as the operating company. In 2024, Yuga Labs sold several intellectual property assets and restructured its operations; current asset ownership should be verified from official Yuga communications.
