Bio
Alexandre Dreyfus is a French digital entrepreneur and the Founder and CEO of Chiliz, as well as CEO of Socios.com — the platforms that pioneered the concept of Fan Tokens and SportsFi, connecting professional sports clubs with their global fan bases through blockchain-based digital assets.
Before founding Chiliz, Dreyfus built a career in online digital entertainment. He founded Webcity, an early online city guide, and was involved in digital poker ventures including Winamax (a leading French online poker platform) and the World Poker Tour digital operations — verify specific roles, dates and ownership details from official sources. This background in consumer-facing digital platforms and tokenized digital economies directly informed his approach to fan engagement.
Dreyfus founded Chiliz in 2018 and launched Socios.com as the consumer application through which football, basketball, esports and other sports fans purchase and use club-specific Fan Tokens. These tokens — issued by clubs including FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Manchester City, among many others — allow holders to participate in limited fan polls and access exclusive club experiences. It is essential to note that Fan Tokens are not shares, equity or ownership stakes in sports clubs; they are utility tokens conferring specific engagement rights defined by each club.
In 2021, Dreyfus launched the Chiliz Chain, a dedicated EVM-compatible blockchain purpose-built for the SportsFi and entertainment token ecosystem, moving away from the prior Ethereum mainnet infrastructure. CHZ serves as the native utility token of the Chiliz Chain and is used for transaction fees, staking and governance within the ecosystem.
