Bryan Pellegrino is the Co-Founder and CEO of LayerZero Labs, the company behind LayerZero — the leading cross-chain interoperability protocol that enables messages and asset transfers across more than 100 blockchains. His background spans professional poker, algorithmic trading and blockchain infrastructure.
Pellegrino co-founded LayerZero with Ryan Zarick in 2021. The protocol uses an oracle-and-relayer model to enable trust-minimized cross-chain communication, allowing decentralized applications to send messages, tokens and data across different blockchain networks. LayerZero has become a critical piece of cross-chain infrastructure, powering omnichain tokens, bridges and messaging for major DeFi protocols.
Under Pellegrino's leadership, LayerZero Labs raised significant venture capital and launched the ZRO token in 2024. The protocol has processed billions in cross-chain volume and supports an extensive ecosystem of omnichain applications.
