Wayex describes itself as global accounts plus one card, and the structure behind that is unusually concrete: local receiving rails in five currencies, a USD-backed balance that pays yield, and a Visa card that spends stablecoins directly.
Banking rails, then a card
The account side supports USD, EUR, GBP, MXN and BRL, with inbound and outbound over ACH, Wire, SEPA, Faster Payments, PIX and SPEI. Deposits of USDT, USDC, DAI and PYUSD arrive across 10+ blockchains and settle into USDB - a 1:1 USD-backed balance that pays up to 5% everyday yield on liquid funds. Fixed-term deposits advertising up to 20% are listed as coming soon and are described as private-credit products, which is a materially riskier proposition than the liquid balance and not live yet.
The card
Spending costs nothing in USD: 0% on USD purchases, a free digital card, no monthly fees, and Apple Pay or Google Pay support. Non-USD spend carries a 1.5% FX fee on both card types, which is the main running cost to plan for when you travel. There is no cashback programme - the reward here is yield on the balance rather than money back on the purchase, so the card and the account should be judged together.
Track record and coverage
Wayex says it is built by the team behind Australia's first crypto Visa card, with 40,000+ users over six years, on infrastructure from Bridge and Lead Bank - a credible pairing in stablecoin payments, and the reason the fee structure is this transparent. The card itself is live in 18+ regions today with expansion towards 100+, so availability is the main caveat and the reason it sits at Tier-3 in our crypto card directory. If the account-and-ramp side is what you actually need, the crypto payment gateway directory covers that comparison.
