What the Solid Card is
Solid pairs a non-custodial stablecoin account with a free virtual Visa card issued by Rain or Wirex, depending on where you live. The card activates as soon as you finish identity verification - roughly two minutes - with no order step and no issuance fee, and works at more than 200 million Visa merchants across 105 countries. Visa Platinum benefits come with it, including purchase protection, price protection, extended warranty and auto rental insurance.
Cashback that is published, capped and tiered
Cashback is paid in USDC at 3% on Core, 4% on Prime and 5% on Ultra, credited 14 days after each transaction settles. Each tier has a monthly ceiling - $50, $100 and $200 - which is the honest limit on the headline rate. The card page also does the arithmetic that most issuers avoid: at Core, a $100 euro purchase costs about $2 in total FX and returns $3, so non-USD spending still leaves you ahead at every tier.
Two ways to spend
Savings Mode spends directly from your balance. Borrow Mode borrows against your savings so the balance keeps earning yield while you spend - a structure that lets you use the card without selling the position generating your return. Because the account is non-custodial, the funds sit in your own Safe wallet, secured by passkeys, until a transaction is authorised. Solid itself cannot move them.
Where the money earns
Savings offers up to 6% APY on USDC, 3% on USDT, 3% on ETH and up to 15% on FUSE, managed through institutional-grade strategies. Solid takes a 10% performance fee from the yield earned - never from principal - plus a 0.01% solver fee on withdrawals to cover on-chain execution. Accounts also come with US personal account and routing numbers so ACH and wire payments land as dollars.
Solid holds stablecoins in a self-custodial account and pays 3% to 5% cashback in USDC on a free virtual Visa Platinum. BenPay pitches on-chain yield on idle balances in the same way, and Zeal pays its rewards in GNO from a self-custodial wallet.
