What the Jupiter Card is
Jupiter is the largest exchange and DeFi hub on Solana, and its card extends that platform to the till. You deposit USDC or USDT into a Spend account, it is credited one-to-one as USD, and the Visa card draws from that dollar balance. The card is issued through regulated partners on credit-card infrastructure, which Jupiter says gives better merchant acceptance, cleaner refunds and more consistent performance than a typical prepaid crypto card. It does not extend credit - you can only spend what you deposit.
Two issuers, two fee schedules
Which card you get depends on where you live. Residents of Australia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam are issued a DCS card; everyone else in the supported list gets a Rain card. The difference matters: Rain charges 1% FX on non-USD payments with no spending limits, while DCS charges 1.8% FX and caps spending at $50,000 a day and $990,000 a year. You cannot hold cards from both issuers.
Cashback and the physical card
Qualifying purchases earn 2% cashback automatically, capped at $100 per calendar month across every card on the account. A referral programme can raise both the rate and the cap, and co-branded cards exist - the Jupiter x Claynosaurz Visa Platinum costs $25 and rebates FX fees in full on the first $10,000 of non-USD spending each month, up to $100 a month, through the end of 2026. The standard physical card costs $13.13 plus shipping, charged to your Spend balance, with $30 off tracked shipping if your balance is $1,500 or more when you order. Full physical rollout is planned by the end of 2026.
Beyond the card
The same Spend account supports QR Pay in six Southeast Asian markets at 0% fees - merchant, currency conversion and person-to-person all free - and remittance with market-rate conversions and a $10,000 per-transfer limit. Off-ramping to a bank account runs through the partner Noah and is region-dependent, with USDC the only deposit that can be withdrawn to fiat. Bank rails carry their own fees, from $2 on ACH to $30 on SWIFT, and small deposits that cannot cover the fixed fee are not credited or refunded.
Jupiter's card spends USDC held on the Solana platform it belongs to, so the direct alternatives are other Solana-first cards: the SolCard is the stablecoin-only option, and the Solflare Card keeps custody in your own wallet. The crypto card directory compares their cashback caps and regional availability.
