What the Robinhood Gold Card is
This is a credit card, not a crypto spending card, and it sits in the directory because it is the card Robinhood customers most often pair with a crypto account. It is offered by Robinhood Credit, Inc. and issued by Coastal Community Bank under licence from Visa U.S.A. Robinhood Credit is a financial technology company, not a bank.
The proposition is one number
3% cashback on all categories, with no annual fee, no authorised-user fee and no rotating bonus categories to track. That single flat rate is what makes the card competitive — most rewards cards beat 3% only in narrow categories, and the ones that pay a flat 2% are beaten here outright.
The catch is the membership
The card requires an active Robinhood Gold subscription, and Robinhood states that invites to apply do not include the usual 30-day free trial. Rewards must be redeemed into a Robinhood Financial brokerage account, so the cashback lands as investable balance rather than cash in your hand.
Beyond cashback
Cardholders get Visa Signature benefits including trip interruption protection, purchase security, auto rental collision damage waiver, extended warranty and return protection, plus roadside dispatch and travel assistance. Robinhood also lets you add authorised users of any age so family members can build credit, with spending limits and instant card locking, and issues disposable virtual card numbers for online purchases.
Robinhood's card pays a flat 3% across categories on a stainless-steel Visa Signature, with no annual fee but a Gold subscription to qualify. The Gemini Credit Card pays its rewards in crypto instead of cash, and the BitPay Card is the prepaid alternative from a crypto-native issuer.
