What the PENGU Card is
The Pengu Card is Pudgy Penguins' flagship crypto card, powered by KAST, the stablecoin money app. It is a Visa card issued across three tiers — Standard, Premium and Private — with PENGU accepted as a spending asset alongside stablecoins and 25-plus other coins deposited across ten or more chains.
Tiers and rates
Standard is free and gives a Visa Platinum card with 1.5% cashback, an 8% reserve rate and two free cards in virtual or physical form. Premium costs $1,000 a year for a Visa Infinite with 2% cashback, a 10% reserve rate and an extra 1% in KAST Points, plus one free Premium card and the Standard allowance. Private costs $10,000 a year for a Visa Infinite with 3% cashback, a 12% reserve rate, 2% extra in KAST Points and a plated gold card plus two free cards from any other tier.
Read the two rates carefully
The card advertises "up to 12% reward rate", but that figure is the reserve rate — yield earned by moving your balance into a Reserve account — not cashback on spending. Cashback is the 1.5%, 2% or 3% figure. The reserve rates are also promotional: KAST states the offer ends on 1 July 2027.
Availability and format
The card launches as a virtual card first, usable online and with digital wallets, with a physical card to follow. A verified KAST account is required, and the card is available in 170+ countries with support for 150 million merchants and ATMs.
PENGU comes in three tiers — free Standard plus $1,000-a-year Premium and $10,000-a-year Private on Visa Platinum or Infinite — with the higher tiers buying travel and lounge perks rather than more cashback. The Kolo Card and the WhiteBIT Nova Card both stay free and lean on rewards instead. The crypto cards listing compares what each tier returns.
