What the Pionex Card is
The Pionex Card turns a separate USDT balance inside the Pionex exchange into a virtual prepaid card. You move USDT into a dedicated card balance, add the card to Apple Pay or Google Pay if you want contactless, and spend online or in stores. The balance keeps earning while it waits.
Multiple regional programmes
This is the most important thing to understand before applying: Pionex runs more than one card programme. Independent testing of a Malaysian account received a Mastercard with a 5240 1394 prefix, while other accounts may be offered Visa, DogPay, Gold, Family, VIP or corporate variants. The network, fee schedule and limits shown in your own app take priority over any published summary, including this one.
How the economics work
The card advertises up to 1% cashback and pays 5% annualized yield on the card balance with hourly accrual, which is the real draw. Set against that is a disclosed 1% transaction fee on card purchases, so base cashback at 1% simply cancels the fee — the yield is where the value sits.
Requirements and limits
Applying requires completed Pionex KYC and at least 10 USDT in total Pionex assets; activation then requires at least 10 USDT in the dedicated card balance. The reviewed card had a 10,000 USDT daily spending limit, no overdraft, was virtual-only and had no ATM access.
Pionex pairs a virtual USDT Mastercard with 5% annualised yield on the card balance, which is a different pitch from pure cashback. The DiCard and the WhiteBIT Nova Card are the closest exchange-issued products, each taking its own route to spending an exchange balance without a monthly fee. All three are set out in the crypto cards directory.
