What Fuse is
Fuse is a personal finance app from Squads Labs, built on the same Solana smart account infrastructure that secures funds for teams building on the network, and the Fuse Card is its spending edge. It is a virtual Visa prepaid card that spends USDC directly from the app, issued by Lead Bank under licensing by Visa U.S.A. Inc. with Bridge as programme manager. Squads is a financial technology company rather than a bank, and Bridge is not a bank either - both state that clearly in the card disclosures.
Fees and what you get
The card is unusually clean on cost: no issuance fee, no monthly fee, no top-up fee, no transaction fee and no fee for using it abroad, and Fuse states simply that there are no fees associated with using the card. There is no cashback, which is the trade-off - the rewards on the platform sit in Fuse Earn, where stablecoins earn yield through DeFi integrations, and in SOL staking rewards through direct or liquid staking, rather than in card rewards.
Self-custody, with a card account attached
Your wallet is self-custodial on a Solana smart account, with multi-key protection instead of a single key, which means your assets never sit with an exchange. The card works differently: your wallet holds a Main Account and a Card Account, and only USDC moved into the Card Account can be spent. That keeps your wider balance out of reach of the card, and moving funds back out of the Card Account carries a five-minute security time lock. Spending is capped by a default $2,000 daily limit that you can adjust and that Fuse may raise after consistent use.
Other things worth knowing
The card is virtual only and cannot be used at ATMs, and Apple Pay is the supported mobile wallet. Fuse swaps Solana tokens with zero fees through its Jupiter integration, so trading inside the app does not add a spread beyond the market's. Availability is the main constraint: 18 countries across the Americas and Africa, with the United States covered everywhere except New York and Alaska, and every applicant going through KYC with Bridge.
Fuse Card spends USDC straight from a self-custodial Solana wallet, which puts it alongside the Solflare Card, another self-custody Solana debit, and the wallet-issued MiniPay Card. None of them asks you to move funds to a custodian first, which is the whole point. Funding models and country lists are compared in the crypto cards directory.
