Bio
Pavel Berengoltz is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Fireblocks, the institutional digital asset infrastructure platform. As CTO, he leads the engineering organization responsible for Fireblocks' security architecture, MPC-based key management, transaction policy engine and the broader technology stack that serves financial institutions managing digital assets at scale.
Berengoltz's background is in cybersecurity and software engineering. He worked at Check Point Software Technologies alongside co-founder Michael Shaulov before co-founding Fireblocks in 2018. This shared security engineering background was formative in shaping Fireblocks' technical approach to institutional custody — particularly the adoption of Multi-Party Computation (MPC) to protect private key material without holding complete keys in any single location.
As CTO, Berengoltz oversees Fireblocks' engineering team and technical direction across institutional wallets, Wallet-as-a-Service, embedded wallets, the transaction policy engine, network connectivity and the security infrastructure underpinning the platform. He co-founded Fireblocks with Michael Shaulov and Idan Ofrat. Information last checked: August 2026.
