Luis Cuende is Co-Founder and Chairman of CitizenX, a company focused on citizenship, residency, and mobility planning, and Co-Founder of Aragon, one of the earliest platforms for building decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) on Ethereum. CitizenX first-party materials identify Cuende as Co-Founder and Chairman; LinkedIn has also used the title Co-Founder and President. Cuende co-founded Aragon in 2016 with Jorge Izquierdo. Aragon provided smart-contract infrastructure for creating and governing DAOs on Ethereum, raising significant capital in a 2017 token sale. The project went through multiple organizational changes over subsequent years, including evolution of the Aragon Association and community governance structure. Aragon's protocol, applications, and associated entities have undergone substantial restructuring; the 2016 organizational structure no longer reflects the current state of Aragon-related entities.
Before Aragon, Cuende founded Asturix, an open-source Linux distribution, as a teenager, and later worked on Stampery, a blockchain timestamping company.
