Bio
Harry Kalodner is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Offchain Labs, the company behind Arbitrum. He was a PhD candidate at Princeton University researching distributed systems, privacy and blockchain technology under Professor Ed Felten before co-founding Offchain Labs.
Kalodner co-authored the original Arbitrum research paper in 2018 alongside Steven Goldfeder and Ed Felten. The paper described an optimistic rollup protocol that moves smart-contract execution off-chain while maintaining Ethereum's security guarantees through on-chain fraud proofs. As CTO, Kalodner has led the engineering team that built Arbitrum One, Arbitrum Nova and the broader Arbitrum technology stack.
His earlier research at Princeton included work on blockchain privacy, transaction graph analysis and the economics of mining. As CTO, he oversees the technical architecture and engineering execution across Offchain Labs' product portfolio, including the 2024 acquisition and integration of the Prysm consensus client. Information last checked: August 2026.
