Bio
Guy Zyskind is the Founder of Fhenix and an early founder of Secret Network, and will join the University of Miami as an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering starting Fall 2026. His academic background includes a PhD from MIT in secure computation in decentralized systems, completed in 2024. His 2015 Enigma paper, co-authored with Oz Nathan and Alex Pentland at MIT, proposed a privacy-preserving computation protocol for blockchain applications using secure multi-party computation and laid early groundwork for what became Secret Network.
Secret Network, launched through SCRT Labs, was an early privacy-focused smart contract platform using trusted execution environments (TEEs) to enable confidential computation on-chain. Zyskind later founded Fhenix, focused on applying fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) to Ethereum-compatible blockchains — enabling computation on encrypted data without decrypting it. As of August 2026, Fhenix is an active project with strategic partnerships and a mainnet roadmap. Zyskind's work spans the distinction between TEE-based privacy (Secret Network), ZK proofs, and FHE (Fhenix), making him one of the few founders with firsthand experience building across multiple cryptographic privacy paradigms.
