Bio

Beniamin Mincu is the Co-Founder and CEO of MultiversX Labs, the primary development company behind the MultiversX blockchain (formerly known as Elrond). He co-founded the project with his brother Lucian Mincu and Lucian Todea. MultiversX operates as a Layer-1 blockchain using Adaptive State Sharding and Secure Proof of Stake (SPoS) consensus to achieve high throughput and low transaction costs.

Mincu's early career included involvement in the NEM (XEM) blockchain ecosystem and the founding of MetaChain Capital, a crypto-focused investment fund, before channeling his full focus into building Elrond, which rebranded to MultiversX in 2022. His LinkedIn profile identifies him as a university dropout who pursued entrepreneurship in the blockchain space directly.
