Anurag Arjun is the Co-Founder of Avail, an independent modular blockchain infrastructure project focused on data availability — a core primitive required for scalable rollup and Layer 2 ecosystems. He is also recognized as a co-founder of Polygon (originally Matic Network), one of the most widely adopted Ethereum scaling networks.
Arjun joined the original Matic Network founding team alongside Jaynti Kanani, Sandeep Nailwal, and Mihailo Bjelic, contributing to its growth from an Ethereum sidechain solution into the broad Polygon ecosystem. After helping build Polygon into a multi-chain infrastructure provider, he transitioned focus toward modular blockchain architecture and co-founded Avail as an independent entity — not merely a Polygon product.
At Avail, Arjun leads efforts to provide a unified, secure data availability layer that rollups and appchains can plug into, addressing one of the core bottlenecks in the modular blockchain stack. As of August 2026, Avail's mainnet is live, Avail Nexus (cross-chain coordination) is in active production, and the AVAIL token supports validator security and governance across the network.
