SEI Is Available on Public as Sei’s Tokenized-Stock Plans Draw Attention

Summary

  • Public’s official website confirms that eligible customers can buy and sell SEI.

  • Crypto execution and custody on Public are provided through zerohash.

  • Dinari has identified Sei as a planned destination for its tokenized-equities infrastructure.

  • Dinari’s wider offering includes more than 700 tokenized U.S. stocks, but that catalogue should not automatically be described as fully live on Sei.

  • Trading availability creates an access route; it does not establish how many customers have purchased SEI.

Buying SEI on Public is available through the investing platform’s crypto service, giving eligible customers access to the token alongside their other investments. Public’s official SEI page confirms buying and selling with purchases starting at $1. The page does not establish the listing’s launch date.

The availability is attracting attention alongside a separate development: Dinari’s planned expansion of tokenized U.S. equities to Sei. Together, they illustrate two different ways conventional investing and blockchain markets are connecting—through distribution platforms and through financial assets issued onchain.

SEI on Public: what investors can actually access

Public’s SEI page describes a straightforward process: eligible customers enable a crypto account, fund it and submit a purchase through the platform. Holdings can then be viewed alongside stocks, ETFs, bonds and other investments.

However, a shared interface does not mean every asset sits in the same legal account.

Public explains that crypto holdings are held in a zerohash account and trades are executed by zerohash. Funds move between that account and the Public Investing brokerage account when customers buy or sell crypto.

Its disclosures state:

Cryptocurrency assets are held and custodied by zerohash llc, not Public.

Public also says services may not be available in every state and that crypto assets do not carry FDIC or SIPC coverage. These are material details when comparing crypto access with securities held through a brokerage.

Two developments, two different products

The distinction becomes especially important when tokenized equities enter the discussion.

Identified in Dinari’s expansion plans

Public’s SEI listing is not evidence that Public is offering Dinari’s tokenized shares on Sei. Nor does purchasing SEI provide ownership of the companies represented by those shares.

This distinction between the access platform, underlying asset and settlement infrastructure also runs through Bitnxt’s coverage of NYSE and Blockchain.com’s tokenized-stock plans.

Where the “700-plus stocks” figure comes from

Dinari’s August 4 announcement described a platform offering 724 tokenized U.S. stocks to eligible U.S. investors and businesses, including access to the entire S&P 500 through dShares.

The company said those instruments are backed by corresponding securities held in qualified custody. Its announcement listed Ethereum, Avalanche, Arbitrum and Base as supported networks, with expansion to Sei and Solana planned.

Dinari also described its products as designed to preserve features associated with conventional share ownership, including dividends, voting rights and corporate actions. Those are issuer descriptions of the product structure; eligibility and applicable terms remain important.

The social announcement

An October 7 Sei post, reproduced by KuCoin, said Dinari was bringing more than 700 tokenized U.S. stocks to the network. Its forward-looking wording supports describing an expansion initiative, rather than assuming that every instrument is already available.

The gap between an announced product catalogue and operational availability deserves attention across the sector. Bitnxt’s report on Morgan Stanley’s tokenized-equities timeline explores a separate example of rollout timing.

Access is the first step; usage is the next test

Bitnxt analysis: Public provides a familiar route for investors who prefer managing multiple asset classes through one interface. Dinari’s plans address another part of the market: placing securities-related instruments on blockchain infrastructure.

Both developments concern access. Evidence of adoption would require additional measures.

For Public, useful indicators would include SEI trading activity and customer participation. For tokenized equities on Sei, the more revealing evidence would be live instruments, eligible distribution channels, liquidity and completed transactions.

These measurements should remain separate. A token listing does not prove demand, and a large potential catalogue does not prove an active market.

Bitnxt view

The stronger story is the combination of distribution and infrastructure, with each development assessed on its own terms.

Public confirms an existing route to trade SEI. Dinari’s announcements establish an intention to expand tokenized equities to Sei. The next meaningful milestone is evidence showing how broadly those services are used and which planned capabilities have entered production.

That is where access announcements become measurable financial activity.
