What is announced
Xverse, the Bitcoin wallet built by Secret Key Labs, has announced the Xverse Card as a crypto-backed card that unlocks instant purchasing power online and in-store. It is not launched: Xverse has opened a waitlist for exclusive updates and priority onboarding, and has published no fees, limits, network details or launch date.
What already exists
The groundwork is real. Xverse Cash is live as a tab inside the wallet and forms a Bitcoin neobank layer in progress. It currently supports stablecoins on three rails — USDC on Starknet, USDB on Spark and USDCx on Stacks — with tools to fund the account, pay with those funds and convert between them.
Why the self-custody detail matters
Xverse keeps Bitcoin keys on your device, and Cash operates under the same self-custody model. That is a different proposition from the custodial cards that dominate this directory: balances are not held by a company, and there is no issuer balance sheet standing between you and your stablecoins. It also means there is no custodial recovery if you lose access.
What Cash does today
Lightning payments are live through Spark for sending and receiving, available from the Cash tab's Pay flow as well as the standard Send flow. USDB rewards can be tracked in the app under a Rewards tab, showing the BTC accrued through the stablecoin rewards programme alongside other active offers.
Xverse brings self-custodial stablecoin balances and Lightning payments to a Bitcoin wallet, with a card attached. Tonhub links a card to a non-custodial wallet the same way, and Solflare does it for Solana. The crypto cards directory notes which features are live.
