What the xPortal Card is
xPortal is the MultiversX super app - wallet, payments, ecosystem hub - with more than 2.5 million users, and the xPortal Card is its everyday debit card. It is a Mastercard debit card issued free of charge, available as a virtual card immediately and as a physical 'Fresh Mint' card, and it lives inside the same app you already use for crypto. The pitch is deliberately simple: spend like a normal person, earn like a crypto user.
Free to get, cheap to hold
Issuance is free and there is no monthly or annual fee or cancellation fee. The costs that do exist sit around the edges: physical delivery is €5.99 in Romania and €9.99 internationally, ATM withdrawals are capped at €500 a month with no free allowance, and there is no free FX allowance either, so non-euro spending carries Mastercard conversion costs. Buying crypto through xMoney costs 1.49%, which is the fee to watch if you fund the card that way rather than topping up from existing balances.
Cashback tied to staking
Rewards reach up to 0.5% paid in EGLD or UTK, and the rate depends on how much EGLD or UTK you stake. That is a modest ceiling - far below the 2% to 10% advertised by competitors - and it means the card's rewards only scale if you are already committed to the MultiversX ecosystem. The non-cash benefits are more distinctive: up to 5% off tickets for xDay and other MultiversX events, and access to ecosystem events and meet-ups.
Who it fits
This is a card for people already living in MultiversX. Limits are practical for everyday use - €2,500 a day and €10,000 a month in top-ups, €5,000 a day of spending, €500 a month from ATMs - and the free issuance plus Apple Pay and Google Pay support make it a low-commitment addition. Anyone outside the ecosystem, or anyone chasing serious cashback, will find better economics elsewhere.
xPortal's free Mastercard debit comes from the MultiversX super app and works with Apple Pay and Google Pay, with cashback that only reaches 0.5% at the top tier. SwissBorg offers a free virtual Mastercard with similar trade-offs, and ZEN holds 35 currencies in one account. See the crypto cards listing.
