What the PokePay Card is
PokePay is a Hong Kong-headquartered crypto payment platform offering a virtual Visa card for online spending and a physical card for shops and ATMs. The company says it holds licences in the United States, Hong Kong and Canada and is pursuing others, with the pitch built on low fixed costs rather than rewards.
The pricing pitch
PokePay advertises card issuance from about US$5, 0 monthly fees, 0 annual fees and 0% cross-border transaction fees, with the virtual card issued in roughly ten seconds. Card top-ups are funded with USDT, USDC, BTC or ETH and PokePay says deposits are typically credited within about 15 minutes.
Beyond the card
The platform also offers a virtual account for receiving remittances and an overseas account covering SWIFT, SEPA, local clearing networks and crypto networks, so it functions as a payments account with a card attached rather than a card alone.
What to watch
PokePay publishes headline fees but not a complete schedule: issuance is quoted as 'as low as' US$5 depending on promotions, and ATM, conversion and physical card costs are not listed publicly. KYC is mandatory and the app is available on both major app stores. As with any offshore-licensed programme, verify fees in-app before funding.
PokePay runs a Hong Kong-based programme of physical and virtual Visa cards with same-day virtual issuance. Tevau is also Hong Kong-licensed and issues a Visa the same way, and PEXX offers both formats from Singapore.
