What OrbitX is
OrbitX is a stablecoin banking platform with two sides. The consumer app gives individuals a single balance that feeds a card, named bank accounts in multiple currencies and international transfers. The business side provides multi-currency corporate accounts, corporate cards, payroll and vendor payments, treasury management and card-as-a-service for wallets, exchanges and fintechs that want to launch their own branded cards. Its stated aim is to join traditional and stablecoin rails in one system rather than acting as a crypto card bolted onto a bank.
Two consumer cards, both with published fees
Neo costs $12 a year, is issued on Visa Platinum, supports up to 10 add-on cards and allows $50,000 of spending a day. Lux costs $30 a year on Visa Signature with unlimited spending and a higher ATM ceiling. That price difference is small, and the fee tables differ more meaningfully: Lux halves the FX fee from 2% to 1%, reduces the declined-transaction charge from $0.20 to $0.10, and includes a metal card where Neo charges $100 for plastic.
Where the money sits
Cards are funded from a wallet built on a non-custodial model, with balances held as USDT or USDC on Polygon or Base and Solana and Tron listed as upcoming. The account layer adds named bank accounts (IBANs) so you can receive local payments that settle automatically into a unified USDC balance, and balances can earn yield through self-custodial, on-chain strategies with no lock-ins.
Be precise about what OrbitX is
OrbitX states plainly that it is a financial technology company, not a bank or regulated financial institution, and that regulated services come from its partner banks. Deposits sit behind multiple licensed institutions across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Americas and Asia-Oceania, and the operating entity is registered in Singapore. That structure is common for platforms of this kind, and it means your protections depend on the partner institution holding your funds rather than on OrbitX itself.
OrbitX pairs stablecoin accounts with two Visa tiers, Neo at $12 a year and Lux at $30, and publishes its full fee schedule. Rizon is the other stablecoin-first Visa with published cashback, and Tap keeps a free virtual card with no subscription. The crypto cards directory compares the tiers.
