Bio
Sergej Kunz is Co-Founder of 1inch Network, a decentralized exchange aggregation and DeFi liquidity protocol. He co-founded 1inch with Anton Bukov after the two built the original 1inch aggregator prototype at ETHNewYork 2019, winning the hackathon's best DeFi project award. 1inch aggregates liquidity from multiple DEX protocols to provide users with optimal rates for token swaps.
Kunz's background before 1inch included software engineering and cloud architecture roles, with experience at enterprises including a role connected to Porsche's IT infrastructure, as reflected in various biographies; exact role titles and durations have not been confirmed from primary corporate sources. He served as Lead Fullstack Software Engineer and Architect alongside his co-founder role, as described by CryptoSlate's August 2026 profile, which reflects his technical contribution to 1inch's core engineering.
1inch Network has since evolved its product suite to include the Fusion Protocol (intent-based order routing using resolvers/market makers), Fusion+ for cross-chain swaps, limit orders, and a dedicated 1inch Wallet. The 1INCH token is used for governance through the 1inch DAO. 1inch Labs is the development company supporting the network. In 2026, 1inch continues operating as an active DeFi protocol with institutional API products and ongoing liquidity routing infrastructure development.
