Bio
João Lages is a Portuguese fintech entrepreneur and Co-Founder & General Manager of Lympid, a European tokenization-as-a-service platform that uses blockchain infrastructure to issue and distribute fractional, regulated investment products linked to real-world and alternative assets. Before founding Lympid, he spent several years at BNP Paribas focusing on financial compliance and audit, building experience across banking operations, internal controls and risk within a major multinational financial institution. He also co-founded a blockchain advisory business supporting European crypto projects before transitioning into fintech entrepreneurship. His career represents a progression from law and traditional finance into blockchain advisory and ultimately fintech product building, with a current focus on making alternative assets — including real estate, private equity, collectibles and luxury goods — accessible to investors across Europe through compliant, white-label tokenization infrastructure.
