Bio
Arie Trouw is the Co-Founder of XYO and Founder, CEO, and CTO of XY Labs, the company behind the XYO decentralized geospatial data network. He is also Chairman of XY Labs and heads the XYO Foundation.
Trouw has a background in computer science and software engineering, building multiple software and technology companies before entering the blockchain space. His transition from location-data hardware products — originally built around Bluetooth-enabled tracking devices — into decentralized infrastructure led to the creation of XYO, a blockchain protocol that enables verifiable, real-world location data to be recorded and queried on-chain.
XY Labs serves as the corporate entity developing the XYO protocol and associated products, while the XYO Foundation governs the decentralized network. The XYO token (XYO) is used for staking, data verification, and network participation. In 2026, Trouw has continued expanding XYO's data infrastructure and AI SDK capabilities, enabling verifiable real-world data to be consumed by AI systems.
