The Ledger Nano Gen5 is Ledger's most affordable secure-touchscreen hardware wallet — unveiled at Ledger Op3n 2025 and priced at $179. It reinvents the button-driven 'Nano' series as a compact, everyday signer with a 2.8-inch E Ink® secure touchscreen, three-way connectivity (USB-C + Bluetooth + NFC) and the same Clear Signing + Transaction Check safety layer found in the premium Ledger Flex ($249) and Ledger Stax ($399).
A secure touchscreen at an accessible price. The 2.8-inch E Ink touchscreen is driven directly by the same EAL-certified Secure Element chip that protects your private keys, so what you see on the signer is exactly what the chip is approving. Clear Signing parses every transaction into human-readable language; Transaction Check screens the transaction against Ledger's threat database before you sign. Combined, these features block the common blind-signing attacks that cost users more than $2.2 billion in 2024 alone — and Ledger reports that Transaction Check has already intercepted over $20 million in potential scam losses.
The Nano Gen5 re-defines the 'Nano' line. The Nano S Plus ($59) and Nano X ($99) still ship for budget buyers who want a button-driven signer, but the Gen5 is the first Nano to offer a secure touchscreen, Clear Signing, Transaction Check, NFC, the encrypted Ledger Recovery Key included in the box, and a built-in battery with USB-C charging. It's compact and playful — available in four colorways including Cherry Red and Matcha Green — and supports personalization via collectible Badges and screen art from Ledger's Susan Kare collaboration.
