Hyperbeat Pay Card

Hyperbeat Pay is a free self-custodial Visa with two spending modes: spend your USDC balance directly, or borrow against BTC, ETH, SOL, HYPE or USD+ and spend without selling. Everyday cashback runs 0.2% to 1%, with a trading-volume ladder up to 12%. Issued by Third National under a Visa licence.

Overview

What is the Hyperbeat Pay Card?

The Hyperbeat Pay Card — referred to in Hyperbeat's own terms as the Hyperbeat Card — is a Visa card attached to a self-custodial onchain account on Hyperliquid. It went live in April 2026 as part of Liquid Banking, Hyperbeat's bid to replace the CEX, bank, broker and lending desk with one programmable account on HyperEVM. It is not a waitlist product: you sign up, verify identity in under five minutes, and the virtual Visa is issued in the app.

What separates it from every other card in this directory is that it has two spending modes and only one of them spends your money:

  • Cash mode — spend USDC or USDT you already hold, settled from your onchain balance. No loan, no interest.
  • Credit mode — deposit native BTC, HYPE, ETH, SOL, beHYPE or USD+ as collateral, then spend on credit without selling a single token. Your collateral keeps earning while you spend.

Credit mode runs on just-in-time borrowing through dedicated Morpho Blue markets on HyperEVM. You tap the card, the infrastructure borrows against your collateral up to a cap you whitelist, and you never open a lending interface. Hyperbeat's Terms are unusually clear about one thing most "crypto credit cards" fudge: the issuer does not extend credit to you. Third National issues the card under a Visa licence, and the credit itself is extended through third-party decentralised borrowing protocols, with limits set by smart-contract parameters and displayed in the Pay interface.

Who actually runs it

The platform is provided and operated by Zoeion Ltd Corporation, a corporation registered in Panama City (the App Store lists it as the app's provider). The card is issued by Third National pursuant to a licence from Visa, and a Hyperbeat Pay Cardholder Agreement governs the card relationship itself. The account itself is not a bank account: funds sit in a ManagementAccount smart contract on HyperEVM controlled by your passkey, not on a company balance sheet.

What "self-custodial" means here

It means more than a marketing line, and the mechanics are worth understanding before you load real spend onto it. You sign in with a passkey, no seed phrase. The operator receives only a capped settlement permission — enough to settle valid card payments within the allowance you grant, but not enough to move assets to arbitrary addresses. Third-party reviewers note that the settlement token carries a default one-day withdrawal cooldown so pending Visa transactions can clear, and that the account contract is a UUPS upgradeable proxy with centrally administered registries and parameters.

In other words: the custody model is genuinely yours, the contract architecture is not immutable, and card settlement necessarily involves delegated authority. Hyperbeat publishes Zellic and Nethermind audits, which reduce implementation risk but do not insure balances against protocol, upgrade, issuer or operator risk.

Cashback that scales with trading, not with a marketing budget

Hyperbeat rebuilt card rewards around account activity in August 2026. Everyone starts at 0.20% on all card spend with no minimum, then four boosters add 0.20% each — two for holding ($1,000 and $10,000) and two for spending ($1,000 and $10,000 over a rolling 30 days) — taking an active user to a 1.0% everyday rate. On top of that sits a rolling 30-day trading volume ladder: 3% at $1M, 5% at $5M, 8% at $10M, 10% at $25M and 12% at $50M+, applied to spend up to a cap that grows with the tier, with anything beyond the cap falling back to your everyday rate. Campaign rates stack and the best rate wins per dollar. Referrals pay a share of your invitee's trading revenue and their cashback for twelve months, tiered by your network's volume.

This is a genuinely unusual rewards design, and it means the headline 12% is not the realistic rate for a normal spender. A user who holds $1,500 and puts $1,400 a month through the card earns 0.60% — about $8 a month. The 3% and 5% tiers are reachable for people who already trade on Hyperliquid; 12% requires $50M of rolling volume.

The account around the card

Card spending is one function of a broader account: Hyperliquid spot, perpetuals, equity perps and index perps from the same balance (Hyperbeat advertises up to 40x leverage and TradingView charts), savings balances with a claimed yield of up to 8% APY, native multi-chain deposits (BTC, ETH, SOL and 15+ assets without a CEX or wrapped IOUs), and fiat rails — ACH, FedWire and SWIFT for dollars, SEPA for euros — with each account getting its own IBAN and virtual account details. Off-ramp currencies added in September 2026 include PHP, AUD, PLN, ZAR and MXN.

Where it sits in this directory

A Tier-2 placement reflects a card that is genuinely live, issued under a real Visa licence, built on a disclosed custody model and backed by published audits — with real caveats on the other side: a young operator, a Panama-incorporated platform, an upgradeable account contract, rewards paid in a native token, credit that carries interest from the moment you spend, and FX and ATM fees documented by third-party trackers rather than by Hyperbeat itself.

If you want a self-custodial Visa with a published fee schedule and no token rewards, compare the defi.com Stablecoin Card or Gnosis Pay. For the rest of the field, see the crypto cards directory.

Features & Benefits

Hyperbeat Pay Card features

  • Two spending modes on one card — Cash mode spends your USDC/USDT balance; Credit mode borrows against collateral without selling it.
  • Spend without selling — deposit native BTC, HYPE, ETH, SOL, beHYPE or USD+ and keep earning while you spend.
  • Just-in-time borrowing through dedicated Morpho Blue markets on HyperEVM, triggered by the card tap with no lending interface.
  • Whitelist spending cap — you set the amount the card may borrow against your collateral.
  • Visa acceptance anywhere Visa is taken, online and in store.
  • Self-custodial — funds sit in a ManagementAccount smart wallet on HyperEVM that you control, with no custodian able to freeze the balance.
  • Passkey sign-in, no seed phrase — the same biometric mechanism as your Apple ID.
  • Capped operator permission — the operator can settle valid payments within your allowance but cannot send assets to arbitrary addresses.
  • Published audits — Zellic and Nethermind, linked from Hyperbeat's documentation.
  • Up to five virtual cards, including an Agent card that gives an approved automated workflow a separate card with narrow limits.
  • Freeze and manage the card in-app, with a card PIN and physical card delivery tracking in the September 2026 release.
  • Everyday cashback from 0.20% on the first tap, with no tiers to unlock and no minimum spend.
  • Four stacking boosters — Holder ($1,000), Holdmaxxer ($10,000), Spender ($1,000 per 30 days), Spendmaxxer ($10,000 per 30 days) — for a 1.0% everyday rate.
  • Trading-volume cashback ladder up to 12% on capped spend for $50M+ rolling 30-day Hyperliquid volume.
  • Best-rate logic — on every dollar you spend you automatically get the highest of your everyday rate, your trading rate or a live campaign.
  • Referral earnings — a share of your invitee's trading revenue and card cashback, tiered by network volume and paid for 12 months.
  • Hyperliquid trading in the same account — spot, perpetuals, equity perps and index perps, advertised up to 40x leverage, with TradingView charts.
  • Savings balance — convert stablecoins into a yield-bearing balance, withdraw any time, claimed up to 8% APY.
  • USD+ collateral that still earns — deposit it for credit mode and it keeps working rather than being locked flat.
  • Native multi-chain deposits — BTC from Bitcoin, ETH from Ethereum, SOL from Solana and 15+ assets in total, without a CEX or wrapped IOUs.
  • WalletConnect and bridges from Arbitrum, Base and Ethereum, or send from a hardware wallet.
  • Fiat rails with your own IBAN and virtual account — ACH, FedWire and SWIFT for USD, SEPA for EUR, with each rail showing its own fees in-app.
  • Off-ramp currencies including PHP, AUD, PLN, ZAR and MXN alongside majors.
  • Spending analytics — spend by category, top merchants, cashback earned and trends across 7, 30 or 90 days.
  • Portfolio dashboard — balance history and allocation in one view.
  • Identity verification in under five minutes to unlock the card and full account features.
  • iOS and Android apps — the Android build is on Google Play; the iOS app requires iOS 26 or later.
  • Localised in eight languages — English, Chinese, Spanish, French, Indonesian, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil) and Turkish.

Not published or not yet available

Supported Cryptocurrencies

What the card spends

Cash mode spends stablecoins from your onchain balance: USDC and USDT. Hyperbeat's Liquid Banking announcement describes Cash mode spending your beatUSD balance directly at Visa merchants, settled from the Liquid account balance — no loan, no interest, and funds stay in your own smart account until the moment you pay.

What Credit mode accepts as collateral

Credit mode is where the asset list widens. Hyperbeat states that you can deposit:

  • Native BTC — sent from a Bitcoin wallet, received on HyperCore and transferred to your HyperEVM account via CoreWriter, with no CEX and no wrapped IOU
  • Native ETH — sent from Ethereum
  • Native SOL — sent from Solana
  • HYPE — the Hyperliquid token
  • beHYPE — Hyperbeat's liquid-staked HYPE, which keeps earning staking rewards while it sits as collateral
  • USD+ — Hyperbeat's yield-bearing dollar asset, which can be supplied as Morpho collateral and still earn while it backs your spending

The just-in-time borrowing that powers Credit mode runs through dedicated Morpho Blue markets on HyperEVM, described by Hyperbeat as exclusively available to Liquid Bank accounts through a layered approval and operator authorisation model. Your collateral is not sold when you tap — you borrow against it, up to a cap you whitelist yourself, and you repay on your own schedule (the app supports one-tap repayment of a full borrow balance).

Depositing assets

Funding is broader than the card: Hyperbeat supports deposits of 15+ crypto assets from any major blockchain, WalletConnect connections to external wallets, bridges from Arbitrum, Base or Ethereum, and direct sends from a hardware wallet. Supported assets named in the App Store listing include USDC, USDT, ETH, BTC, SOL and HYPE.

Fiat rails and currencies

Every account gets its own IBAN and virtual account details. Dollar deposits run over ACH, FedWire and SWIFT; euro deposits run over SEPA. Crypto off-ramps in September 2026 added PHP, AUD, PLN, ZAR and MXN to the existing set, and each rail displays its own bank details and fees ordered for your country. Note that these rails are the account's fiat plumbing — they are separate from what the card spends, which is stablecoins or borrowed credit.

What the rewards are paid in

Hyperbeat describes the cashback rates in its published model but is not explicit in the announcement about the payout asset; third-party card trackers report that rewards are paid in WHYPE, Hyperbeat's token. If you are modelling the real value of the cashback, check the payout asset in the app and price the token risk, since a rate quoted in a token that moves is not the same as cash back in dollars. The savings side carries its own caveat: the up-to-8% APY claim comes from onchain strategy exposure, not from a guaranteed deposit rate.

Fees & Limits

Hyperbeat Pay Card fees

This is the area where Hyperbeat is least transparent. The company does not publish a standalone card fee schedule on its website, and instead directs cardholders to the Hyperbeat Pay Cardholder Agreement and shows per-rail bank fees inside the app. The figures below come from third-party card trackers that report reviewing the issuer terms and the live card flow — treat them as a starting point, not the final word.

How fees are actually surfaced

Rather than a published table, Hyperbeat's operational answer is in-app disclosure: "each rail shows its own bank details and fees, ordered for your country". That is a reasonable design for a multi-country product, but it means you cannot compare Hyperbeat's card costs against another card without signing up and reaching the funding screen. If fee predictability matters to you more than anything else, compare a card that publishes its schedule openly before you commit.

What to confirm before you spend meaningfully

  • The Cardholder Agreement's full schedule: issuance, replacement, FX, ATM, inactivity and dispute fees
  • Whether the FX fee is 1% flat or varies by currency, and whether the rate applied is wholesale or cardholder rate
  • Whether the $100,000 monthly limit can be changed in-app or is fixed
  • The interest rate and liquidation thresholds on the Morpho Blue market behind your Credit mode collateral, and how a price move affects the position
  • Whether Credit mode interest starts at authorisation or settlement
  • What happens to a pending transaction if your collateral value drops before settlement
  • The one-day settlement-token withdrawal cooldown and how it interacts with your spending plans

Risk factors worth pricing in

Card trackers score Hyperbeat lowest on operational reliability among the cards they review, citing a young operating history, an upgradeable account contract and immediate Credit mode interest. Add the usual DeFi layer: third-party protocol risk on the Morpho markets, liquidation risk on collateralised spending, token price risk on WHYPE-denominated rewards, and the fact that the platform company is incorporated in Panama while the issuer is a separate entity — which makes the Cardholder Agreement, not the marketing site, the document that governs your card.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Live and shipping — no waitlist, card issued after identity verification in under five minutes
  • Self-custodial: funds sit in a smart wallet you control on HyperEVM, not on a company balance sheet
  • Passkey sign-in with no seed phrase to lose
  • Two genuinely different spending modes: spend a funded stablecoin balance, or borrow against crypto without selling
  • Credit mode collateral keeps earning while it backs your spending, including beHYPE staking rewards and USD+ yield
  • Borrowing is triggered by the card tap through just-in-time Morpho Blue markets — no lending interface to operate
  • You whitelist the borrowing cap the card may use against your collateral
  • Operator receives only a capped settlement permission and cannot move assets to arbitrary addresses
  • Card issued by Third National under a Visa licence, with the issuing relationship named in the Terms of Use
  • Terms are clear that the issuer does not extend credit — credit comes from third-party onchain protocols, so the model is disclosed rather than blurred
  • Zellic and Nethermind audits published through Hyperbeat’s documentation
  • Everyday cashback starts at 0.20% from the first tap with no minimum and no tiers to unlock
  • Four cashback boosters each add 0.20%, and they stack to a 1.0% everyday rate on all spend
  • Trading-volume ladder reaches 12% cashback on capped spend, tied to your own Hyperliquid activity rather than a promotional pot
  • Best-rate logic means you automatically get the highest of everyday, trading or campaign rates per dollar spent
  • Referral program pays a share of your invitee’s trading revenue and cashback for a full 12 months
  • Up to five virtual cards, including an Agent card with narrow limits for automated workflows
  • Freeze, set a PIN and track physical card delivery from the app
  • Hyperliquid trading from the same account — spot, perps, equity perps and index perps, advertised up to 40x with TradingView charts
  • Native multi-chain deposits of BTC, ETH and SOL without a CEX or wrapped IOUs
  • Own IBAN and virtual account details, with ACH, FedWire, SWIFT and SEPA rails
  • Off-ramp currencies beyond the majors, including PHP, AUD, PLN, ZAR and MXN
  • Savings balance with no lock-up, claimed up to 8% APY
  • Spending analytics by category and merchant, plus a portfolio dashboard
  • Eight app languages and both iOS and Android builds
  • No annual or monthly fee reported, and the virtual card is free

Cons

  • Hyperbeat does not publish a standalone card fee schedule — FX and ATM costs come from third-party trackers, not the company
  • Reported 1% FX fee and 0.65% ATM fee, with no free ATM allowance documented
  • No published list of countries where the card can be issued — eligibility is decided case by case on identity, address, IP, device, wallet and region
  • Direct conflict on limits: app release notes say the spending limit can be changed in-app, third-party trackers say the $100,000 monthly default is fixed
  • Credit mode interest accrues from the moment you spend — there is no statement grace period
  • Collateralised spending adds liquidation risk on top of normal card risk
  • Rewards are reported to be paid in WHYPE, a native token, so the headline rate carries token price risk
  • The 12% tier requires $50M of rolling 30-day trading volume and applies only up to a tier cap — the everyday rate for a normal spender is 0.2% to 1.0%
  • Even the 1.0% everyday rate needs $10,000 held and $10,000 of monthly spend to reach
  • The ManagementAccount is documented as a UUPS upgradeable proxy with centrally administered registries and parameters — the custody model is yours, the contract is not immutable
  • Settlement requires delegated operator authority, and the settlement token has a default one-day withdrawal cooldown
  • Young operating history: live since April 2026, and third-party reviewers score it lowest on operational reliability
  • Platform company Zoeion Ltd Corporation is incorporated in Panama while the card issuer is a separate entity, so the Cardholder Agreement governs rather than the marketing site
  • No insurance or compensation scheme documented for balances held in the smart account
  • Physical card is still in rollout, with no published pricing, shipping dates or delivery markets
  • Card is a Visa prepaid/credit hybrid where credit depends on third-party DeFi markets — if those markets face stress, the borrowing behind a payment is affected too
  • Hyperbeat’s own site surfaces fee disclosure inside the app rather than up front, making comparison shopping harder
  • Fiat rails, on-ramp and off-ramp are part of the wider account, so the card experience is bound to the platform’s feature set and release cadence
  • Deep Hyperliquid integration means the card rewards make most sense for people already trading on the platform — it is a weaker proposition for a plain spender
  • The up-to-8% APY savings claim depends on onchain strategies and is not a guaranteed deposit rate

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Hyperbeat Pay Card available now?

Yes. Liquid Banking went live in April 2026 and the card is issued after sign-up and identity verification, which Hyperbeat says usually takes under five minutes. There is no waitlist. The physical card is still in rollout — the September 2026 app release added PIN setting and delivery tracking — so the virtual Visa is the shipping product today, with up to five virtual cards per account including an Agent card for automated spend.

What is the difference between Cash mode and Credit mode?

Cash mode spends USDC or USDT you already hold, settled from your onchain balance — no loan and no interest. Credit mode lets you deposit native BTC, HYPE, ETH, SOL, beHYPE or USD+ as collateral and spend on credit without selling any of it. When you tap the card, Hyperbeat borrows against your collateral up to a cap you whitelist, using just-in-time borrowing through dedicated Morpho Blue markets on HyperEVM. You never interact with a lending interface — you tap, and the infrastructure handles the borrow. Cash mode is the lower-risk option; Credit mode keeps your assets earning but adds liquidation risk and interest from the moment you spend.

Who issues the card, and is Hyperbeat a bank?

No, Hyperbeat is not a bank. The platform is provided and operated by Zoeion Ltd Corporation, incorporated in Panama City, and the card is issued by Third National pursuant to a licence from Visa. Hyperbeat's Terms are unusually explicit that the issuer does not extend credit to you: Third National issues the card, while the credit you access in Credit mode is extended through third-party decentralised borrowing protocols, with limits set by smart-contract parameters and shown in the Pay interface. A Hyperbeat Pay Cardholder Agreement governs the card relationship itself.

What are the fees on the Hyperbeat Pay Card?

Hyperbeat does not publish a standalone card fee schedule on its website — it points cardholders to the Cardholder Agreement and shows per-rail bank fees inside the app. Third-party card trackers report no annual or monthly fee, a 1% FX fee (the same tracker shows a 0.4%-1% range elsewhere) and a 0.65% ATM fee, with no free ATM allowance documented. Credit mode carries interest from the moment you spend, priced by the Morpho Blue market behind your collateral, with no statement grace period. Confirm the current schedule in the app before you commit significant spend.

How does the cashback actually work?

Every cardholder earns 0.20% on all spending from the first transaction, with no minimum and no tiers to unlock. Four boosters each add 0.20%: Holder ($1,000 held in USD, USD+ or USD+ supplied as Morpho collateral), Holdmaxxer ($10,000 held), Spender ($1,000 of card spend in a rolling 30 days) and Spendmaxxer ($10,000 of spend), which together reach a 1.0% everyday rate. Separately, a rolling 30-day Hyperliquid trading volume ladder overrides your rate on spend up to a tier cap: 3% at $1M, 5% at $5M, 8% at $10M, 10% at $25M and 12% at $50M+, with spend above the cap falling back to your everyday rate. On every dollar you get the best of your everyday rate, your trading rate or a live campaign rate. Card trackers report rewards paid in WHYPE, so the payout carries token price risk.

What spending limit applies?

Third-party trackers report a $100,000 default monthly card limit that is not currently user-configurable, separate from the on-chain settlement allowance you grant the operator. However, the App Store release notes for version 1.0.315 in September 2026 say you can change your spending limit and freeze your card from the manage-card menu. Those two statements conflict, so check the actual limit and whether you can change it inside your own app rather than trusting either source.

Is my money safe with Hyperbeat, and what are the real risks?

Your funds sit in a ManagementAccount smart wallet on HyperEVM that only your passkey controls, and the operator gets a capped settlement permission rather than unrestricted access — so no custodian can freeze your balance. Hyperbeat publishes Zellic and Nethermind audits. That said: the account contract is documented as a UUPS upgradeable proxy with centrally administered parameters, card settlement requires delegated authority with a one-day cooldown on settlement-token withdrawals, Credit mode adds third-party protocol and liquidation risk, and no insurance or compensation scheme is documented for balances. Treat it as a self-custody product with real smart-contract and platform risk, not a deposit account.

Can I use Hyperbeat Pay outside the US?

Hyperbeat says it serves individuals and businesses worldwide and the app is localised in eight languages, but the card is not available everywhere and the company has not published a country list. Third-party trackers list support across the US, EEA, LATAM, APAC and MEA. Hyperbeat's Terms restrict sanctioned persons and jurisdictions and state that eligibility is judged on identity, blockchain address, IP, ISP, device type, wallet and region of residence or citizenship. Check eligibility during onboarding before you plan spending around the card.

Does the card make sense if I do not trade on Hyperliquid?

Partly. Cash mode works as a straightforward self-custodial stablecoin Visa, and the everyday cashback of 0.2% to 1.0% is reachable through holding and spending alone — a $1,500 balance and $1,400 of monthly spend earns 0.60%. But the rates that make this card headline-worthy (3% to 12%) are gated on rolling 30-day Hyperliquid trading volume, and referrals pay you a share of your invitee's trading revenue as well as their cashback. If you do not trade on Hyperliquid, the card competes on self-custody, credit-mode flexibility and fee structure rather than on rewards.

Fees at a Glance

Setup / Issuance—
Monthly feeFree
Annual feeFree
ATM withdrawalReported at 0.65% by third-party card trackers. ATM access is not advertised on Hyperbeat's own site, and no free-withdrawal allowance is documented — this is positioned as a spending and credit card for Visa merchants rather than a cash-access card.
FX feeReported at 1% by third-party card trackers (the same tracker elsewhere shows a 0.4%-1% range), and not published as a standalone figure on Hyperbeat's own site. Hyperbeat instead points cardholders at the Hyperbeat Pay Cardholder Agreement and shows per-rail bank fees in the app, so confirm the current FX rate in-app rather than relying on the marketing.
CashbackUp to 12%
Spending limitReported default of $100,000 per month that is not user-configurable, separate from the on-chain settlement allowance you grant the operator. Note a direct conflict: the App Store release notes for version 1.0.315 (September 2026) say you can change your spending limit from the manage-card menu, while third-party trackers still list the monthly limit as fixed. Up to five virtual cards can be created.
