What is the Bitunix Card?
The Bitunix Card is a Visa card from crypto exchange Bitunix that turns your trading balance into spendable money. You fund it by moving USDT from your Bitunix Spot or Futures account into a dedicated Card Account, and the card then pays at Visa merchants — online, in stores and through digital wallets — with conversion happening at the point of sale.
The pitch is cost. Bitunix advertises zero card issuance, monthly, annual and crypto conversion fees, plus 0%–8% cashback depending on your VIP tier. What remains is a network fee of 0.51% on USD transactions and 1.5% on non-USD transactions, which the company positions as coverable through cashback.
How it works
You need a verified Bitunix account: sign up, complete identity verification, confirm your residential address and apply. Once the application is approved the virtual card is issued and ready to use. Top-ups are then internal transfers — USDT moves from your Spot or Futures balance into the Card Account, so there is no on-chain transfer fee and no waiting on a blockchain confirmation.
Virtual first
The first release is a virtual card, intended for online payments and digital wallets. Bitunix states that physical cards are planned for a future phase, so this is not yet a card for ATM cash withdrawals or in-store tap with plastic.
Cashback
Cashback is advertised at up to 8% on daily spending, with the rate determined by your Bitunix VIP tier, and up to 1,000 USDT per month in rewards. It is calculated on the final settled amount — excluding fees — and credited in USDT to your Card Account once the transaction settles. Certain merchant category codes, refunds, chargebacks, cash-like transactions and abusive activity do not count as eligible spending.
Wallets and acceptance
The card runs on the Visa network and can be added to Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, Alipay, WeChat Pay, PayPal, LINE Pay and GrabPay. Bitunix illustrates typical usage with Amazon, Booking.com, Uber, Grab, Netflix, Spotify, Airbnb, Shopee, eBay, Shopify and ChatGPT — ordinary e-commerce, travel, subscriptions and food delivery.
Eligibility and availability
Applications are open to users who have completed KYC. Bitunix notes that availability varies by region and local regulation, and cashback rates track your exchange VIP tier, which is tied to your activity and holdings on Bitunix.
Who it suits
The Bitunix Card makes most sense for people who already trade on Bitunix and want to spend USDT without moving it off the platform: no issuance cost, no monthly fee, no conversion fee, and top-ups that settle instantly from the trading balance. Anyone who needs ATM cash, a physical card, or a card that works without a Bitunix account should wait for the physical release or weigh it against the wider crypto cards directory, where exchange-issued cards such as the Bitget Card sit alongside app-based issuers.
