Raydium LaunchLab Opens Any-Token Pairing on Solana

Raydium LaunchLab enables any-token trading pairs on the Solana blockchain.

Summary :

  • LaunchLab now lets any Solana token launch paired with any quote token.

  • First partner StonkFun cut deployment costs from 0.29 SOL to 0.03 SOL.

  • StonkFun routed over $219M through Raydium before the upgrade.

  • Raydium's full-year 2025 volume led Solana at $352.8 billion.

  • Recent daily volume has slipped behind PumpSwap and BisonFi.

Raydium just made every token on Solana pairable with every other token, and the subtext is a war it is currently losing. LaunchLab, the DEX's token launchpad, now supports custom quote tokens, ending the mandatory SOL and USDC pairing for new launches, with deployment costs collapsing from 0.29 SOL to 0.03 SOL on the first partner integration, StonkFun's LaunchOnSF. Flexible pairing, deeper liquidity, lower fees: it is a direct counterattack on Pump.fun, which severed Raydium's migration stream last year.

"LaunchLab now supports any token pair on Raydium. The upgrade brings flexible pairing directly to Solana, with deeper liquidity, lower fees, and stronger meme-native trading. @LaunchOnSF is the first integration partner to bring the model live on LaunchLab." — Raydium (@Raydium), September 6, 2026

Why Raydium's market share math forced this move

The history explains the aggression. When Pump.fun launched PumpSwap in 2025, it kept token migrations in-house, and in week one captured 21% of Solana DEX volume with $1.2 billion traded, reaching $2.43 billion by March 30 against Raydium's then-74% share. Raydium still leads full-year 2025 execution volume at $352.8 billion, ahead of Meteora's $113.7 billion and Orca's $103.9 billion, but the recent daily snapshots tell the real story: on Aug. 21, PumpSwap did about $485 million, BisonFi about $466 million, and Raydium $260 million on Solana's roughly $2.8 billion daily spot. The incumbent is bleeding flow to the launchpad that used to feed it, and the same launchpad-capture war is playing out on Robinhood Chain, where Uniswap bought Pons rather than compete with its fees. Raydium's answer is to out-flexible the upstart: bonding curves, permissionless deployments, CPMM pools, and now any quote token a creator wants.

StonkFun's numbers show what the partner ecosystem brings: over $392 million in lifetime trading volume, roughly $219 million routed through Raydium, $1.21 million in revenue, more than $5.35 million distributed in holder rewards, and over $705,000 spent on native token buybacks and burns. Recycling LP fees into liquidity is the kind of incentive engineering that keeps trading volume compounding, and the memecoin flow ARK traced to Solana-style venues is exactly the demand Raydium is fighting to keep on its contracts. With altcoin speculation at a 21-month leverage high, the venue that hosts the next memecoin cycle captures its fees.

The trade-offs nobody is putting in the announcement

Now the costs of flexibility. Custom quote pairs fragment liquidity across thousands of niche pools instead of concentrating depth in SOL and USDC, and aggregators, which StonkFun's routing depends on, get harder pricing problems when every token pairs with everything. A 0.03 SOL deployment fee is a 90% cut, which also drops the spam floor: more bot-launched tokens, more rug-pulls, more screening burden on trading terminals, which the upgrade also touches with anti-sniper-bot measures. There is a real question whether deeper pairing flexibility serves traders or just serves launch volume, the metric launchpads are graded on.

Watch the September volume race. If Raydium's daily share retakes ground from PumpSwap after StonkFun's integration, the custom-pairing thesis wins and every Solana launchpad copies it within a quarter. If it does not, Raydium will have discounted its fees to defend a lead it keeps losing, and the lesson for every DEX, on Solana or elsewhere, will be that flexibility is table stakes, not a moat. Either way, token creators just got the cheapest launch economics Solana has ever offered, and somebody is about to test exactly how low the quality floor goes.
