Amsterdam, 5 October 2026 – Dutch Blockchain Week 2027 is officially scheduled for May 17–23, bringing professionals from digital assets, finance, payments, blockchain and technology together in Amsterdam. The week-long event will feature business discussions, networking opportunities and industry gatherings, with the two-day Main Summit returning to the Johan Cruijff ArenA on May 19 and 20.
The Dutch Blockchain Week Main Summit will return to the Johan Cruijff ArenA on May 19 and 20, 2027, following its 2026 edition at the Amsterdam venue.
Now entering its ninth edition, DBW has come a long way since it began as a Dutch blockchain community initiative in 2019. It has developed into an international business event connecting companies, institutions, entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers and industry professionals. The organization considers it one of Europe's top three events for blockchain and digital assets.
Dutch Blockchain Week 2027: Building on the Success of DBW26
The 2027 announcement follows a significant year for Dutch Blockchain Week. In June 2026, thousands of professionals gathered across Amsterdam for a programme that included the two-day Main Summit at the Johan Cruijff ArenA and more than 40 events throughout the city.
Participants came from across the ecosystem, including exchanges, banks, payment providers, investment funds, investors, market makers, regulators, infrastructure providers and technology companies. The Main Summit also featured speakers and representatives from Visa, Kraken, Bitwise, Mastercard, Chainlink and other organizations, alongside policymakers, regulators and industry leaders from the Netherlands and across Europe.
DBW27 will build on that experience while expanding the conversation around the growing links between digital assets and the wider financial and technology industries.
Two Days at the Johan Cruijff ArenA
On May 19 and 20, the Johan Cruijff ArenA will once again serve as the main meeting point for Dutch Blockchain Week. The DBW27 Main Summit will feature two official stages, each with a different focus.
The Main Stage will host keynotes, panel discussions and interviews covering major industry developments, with executives, entrepreneurs, policymakers and industry leaders taking part.
The Amsterdam Stage will provide a more focused setting for company presentations exploring specific markets, technologies, regulation and real-world applications.
There will also be a strong focus on business development throughout both days, giving attendees opportunities to connect with potential clients, partners, investors and industry peers beyond the stage sessions.
A Full Week of Events Across Amsterdam
Dutch Blockchain Week is not limited to its two-day Main Summit. Between May 17 and 23, companies, communities and partners will host events across Amsterdam, from industry sessions and networking gatherings to private dinners, meetups and community events.
This week-long format gives people more time to meet, reconnect and continue conversations rather than fitting everything into two conference days.
The official DBW27 event calendar will continue to grow in the months leading up to May. Companies and communities can also submit their own events to be included in the wider Dutch Blockchain Week programme.
“The Next Step for Dutch Blockchain Week”
“2026 showed us what Dutch Blockchain Week can become when we bring the industry together for an entire week in Amsterdam. Moving the Main Summit to the Johan Cruijff ArenA was an important step for us, but it was never meant to be the finish line.”
“For 2027, we want to build on that foundation. Our focus is on bringing even more of the digital asset, financial and technology industries together, while keeping the business opportunities and personal connections that have always been at the heart of DBW.”

A Business Event for the Industry
DBW27 will continue to develop as a business event for professionals working in digital assets and related industries. Along with the financial and technology organizations taking part, it will welcome professional services firms and the wider digital asset ecosystem.
The programme will cover digital assets, stablecoins, payments, tokenization, institutional adoption, infrastructure, regulation, custody, artificial intelligence and emerging financial technology. Blockchain and Web3 communities will also remain an important part of the week and the broader DBW ecosystem.
