How It Works
Bitfi takes a radically different approach to wallet security. Instead of storing private keys on the device (like traditional hardware wallets), Bitfi uses a brain-based cryptography system where the user memorizes a secret phrase. When the user wants to access their wallet, they enter their secret phrase into the Bitfi device, which then calculates the private keys in real-time, signs the transaction, and instantly wipes all data from memory — returning the device to its original out-of-box state. This means the device stores nothing: no private keys, no seed phrase, no backup data. If the device is lost, stolen, or seized, the attacker finds nothing on it. The user can simply get a new Bitfi device (or any compatible device) and enter their memorized secret phrase to regain full access to their funds.
