Bio
Vinny Lingham is Co-Founder and Chairman of Praxos Capital and Co-Founder of Civic. Praxos Capital is his current primary operating vehicle, focused on crypto fund management and treasury strategy. Civic, which he co-founded with Jonathan Smith and others, built blockchain-based digital identity and KYC verification infrastructure, and continues to develop AI-agent verification and identity products. Lingham is no longer described as Civic's CEO in his current first-party profiles; the Civic CEO label from earlier media coverage is outdated.
Lingham's current LinkedIn profile also lists him as Co-Founder of XASH (2026), a financial technology venture, and as Co-Founder and Chairman of Rumi.ai, an AI knowledge platform. On June 2, 2026, Decidr US announced an agreement to acquire Rumi.ai; whether that transaction has fully closed and Lingham's post-closing role should be verified from current corporate filings. Before his crypto career, Lingham co-founded Gyft, a digital gift card platform later acquired by First Data, and Newtown Partners, an investment firm. He is from South Africa. Education details have not been confirmed from primary institutional sources and are omitted per verification requirements.
