Personal website

Bio

Trung Nguyen is Co-Founder and CEO of Sky Mavis, the Vietnamese game studio behind Axie Infinity and the Ronin Network. He co-founded Sky Mavis in 2018 alongside Aleksander Leonard Larsen (COO), Jeffrey Zirlin (Growth), Andy Ho (CTO), and Mavis Wanczyk. The company built Axie Infinity, a blockchain-based creature-collecting and battling game featuring player-owned NFT assets and an in-game economy using the AXS governance token and SLP utility token.

Nguyen's background is in engineering and product leadership, including studies at FPT University; specific degree details have not been confirmed from institutional records. Sky Mavis also developed Ronin Network — an EVM-compatible Ethereum sidechain designed for gaming — which has since been opened to third-party developers and transitioned toward a permissionless validator model using RON as its native staking and utility token. In March 2022, the Ronin bridge suffered a security exploit in which approximately $625 million in assets were stolen by attackers later attributed by the U.S. government to the Lazarus Group; Sky Mavis and Binance compensated affected users. In 2026, Sky Mavis continues operating Axie Infinity, the Ronin Network, and a portfolio of third-party games on Ronin under Nguyen's leadership as CEO.
