Adrian Brink is the Co-Founder of Anoma and the Founder and Managing Director of Heliax, the R&D organization responsible for the research and development of the Anoma protocol.
Brink entered the blockchain industry through the Cosmos and Tendermint ecosystem, where he contributed in various technical and organizational roles. He later founded Cryptium Labs, a Proof-of-Stake validator and research firm, and Metastate, a blockchain research organization, both of which preceded his work on Anoma and Heliax. It is important to note that Brink was a contributor and builder in the Cosmos ecosystem, not a founder of Cosmos itself.

Anoma is an intent-centric protocol — a paradigm-shifting architecture in which users declare what outcomes they want (intents) rather than specifying exact transactions. Solvers then discover counterparties and construct valid transactions that satisfy those intents. This approach enables a new class of applications including decentralized exchange, privacy-preserving bartering, and novel DeFi primitives. Heliax is the primary R&D company working on Anoma. The Anoma Foundation is a separate legal entity responsible for ecosystem development and governance.
