The Trezor Safe 3 is a compact USB-C hardware wallet built by SatoshiLabs, the Czech team that invented the hardware-wallet category back in 2014. It pairs a certified EAL6+ Secure Element with a fully open-source hardware and firmware design, giving you bank-grade chip protection paired with code you can audit yourself.
Despite its entry-level price (from $47 on sale, list $59), the Safe 3 ships with features that were once reserved for flagship wallets: a 0.96″ monochrome OLED screen, two-button on-device confirmation, PIN & passphrase entry directly on the device, and the new Single-share & Multi-share (Shamir) Backup system in the universal 20-word format. It also doubles as a FIDO2 / U2F two-factor authentication key for your online accounts.
The Safe 3 works with the free Trezor Suite desktop and web app — send, receive, trade and stake thousands of coins and tokens — and is compatible with popular third-party wallets such as Electrum, MetaMask and Rabby for reaching even more chains and assets.
