The Ledger Stax is Ledger's flagship premium hardware wallet — the 'most premium secure touchscreen hardware wallet' in Ledger's own line-up. Priced at $399 on shop.ledger.com and designed by Tony Fadell (the engineer behind the iPod and iPhone), it reframes cold storage as a luxury, everyday-carry object.
Design & display. The Stax's signature feature is a curved E Ink touchscreen — easily readable, even in bright sunlight — wrapped in a sleek build no thicker than a stack of five credit cards. You can personalize it on-device: name it, and set a favorite photo or NFT as the lock screen. Embedded magnets in the spine make Ledger Stax units stack and click together, the famous 'sound of security'.
Connectivity. Unlike the USB-only Nano S Plus, the Stax pairs wirelessly over Bluetooth with iOS, Android and desktop, and adds Qi wireless charging alongside the included USB-C cable — one less cable to carry. It works with the all-new Ledger Wallet™ app (the successor to Ledger Live) for managing assets on the go.
Security. Under the hood sits Ledger's industry-leading CC EAL5+ Secure Element running Ledger OS™, paired with a secure screen that guarantees what you review before signing is what actually gets signed. Ledger's secure-element chip has shipped in over 7 million devices with zero supply-chain hacks. Optional Ledger Recover™ Key provides an extra layer of control — a paid subscription service that splits your recovery into three encrypted fragments held by independent custodians, so you can restore access even if you lose the device and your seed phrase.
Ecosystem. Through the Ledger Wallet™ app the Stax unlocks 50+ trusted providers across 100+ chains — buy, sell, swap, earn and stake including Stablecoin Yield, Midas investment strategies, cross-chain high-velocity swaps and an Earn Simulator for portfolio planning. A Ledger Stax Magnet Shell accessory ($39) and even a Balenciaga Ledger Stax Holder leather case round out the premium ecosystem.
