What UGLYCASH is
UGLYCASH bills itself as the opportunity app — a place to earn, move and grow money — and the card is the spending layer. It combines receiving accounts in the US, EU and Mexico, crypto and transfer rails, on-chain trading, and a Visa card with cashback.
How you get paid and spend
You can receive money from US, EU and Mexican bank accounts, from crypto, or by transfer, all into one balance. The card then spends from that balance with bank withdrawals available, and the company advertises 0-fee instant cross-border payments to Latin America.
How the cashback actually works
The headline of up to 6% is tiered and conditional. Every member earns a guaranteed 1% base cashback on card purchases, paid weekly. The 6% rate requires the paid Ridiculously Exclusive membership at $20 a month and trading volume above $20,000. Cashback is credited in Reserve Rights (RSR) rather than cash or stablecoins, and the top rate is distributed to active members who hold the maximum cashback percentage for two months.
Who is behind it
UGLYCASH is operated by Best Friend Finance, Inc., created in San Francisco, and says it works under US regulatory frameworks and through worldwide licensed partners. It is explicit that it is not a bank, and states that rewards are funded from its own resources with user funds 100% backed.
UGLYCASH pays users from US, EU and Mexican bank accounts and attaches a Visa card earning up to 6% back, a high rate for a multicurrency app. Meru and Takenos offer comparable multi-country account stacks. The crypto cards directory compares the deposit routes.
